Prepare for a research day or student poster session

Start with the instructions from your department or event organizer: check the maximum dimensions, orientation and whether the board must accommodate more than one poster. There is no single poster size for every University of Guelph event. Set up your document to match your specific presentation before exporting a PDF.

Keep scientific results readable

Whether your poster covers laboratory work, field research, veterinary science, agriculture or another discipline, make axes, units, figure captions and image labels readable at the printed size. Lab groups and departmental orders

For a shared research day, assign one person to collect final PDFs and maintain a list of presenter names, sizes and materials. Campus delivery and travelling to conferences
